I'm barely on the "left" side of 50 (so yes, that puts me well over the age of 18, and 21...), a small-business owner and a divorced empty nester. I've been writing since I was in seventh grade, and do a lot of technical writing for my job. I write mainly Harry Potter, and in that realm, mainly Harry/Severus in mentor and m/m fics. I do dabble in other gen fics and relationships at times. My kids, both sons, are in their early twenties. One is teaching English in Japan and the other going to college in Fairbanks, AK. Both are writers as well. I live in that part of the US that many consider "fly-over" land, but it's really quite nice here just outside of St. Louis. We're in the foothills of the old Ozark Mountains and have a fairly relaxed pace of life. I travel extensively for work, mainly in the American west and southwest. I've been to all 50 states and love the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest especially.

I love humor, though I'm just as prone to write angst. Movies and TV must be light and funny for me, unless they're of the epic good/evil genre. My work life is too tense to spend my free time on edge.
